Under-seven�s Warned off Mary Poppins???

Though the film is regarded as a family classic, Cameron Mackintosh and Disney�s new stage version of Mary Poppins is not quite so family-friendly. At the West End�s Prince Edward Theatre, where the �8 million musical opens to the press next Wednesday (15 December 2004), audiences are being cautioned that the production is not recommended for children under the age of seven while those younger than three are barred altogether because it�s considered too scary for them. The warnings may come as an unwelcome shock to parents who are, presumably, the key purchasers of tickets to the weekend matinees, the performances most likely to be filled with children, which are all sold out until next July.
