Stevenson Bows Out of UnHappy Few???Date: 13 July 2004If the prospect of seeing Juliet Stevenson’s Macbeth has tempted you to into buying tickets for We Happy Few, despite some decidedly mixed reviews for Imogen Stubbs’ new play about a Second World War all-female acting troupe, be sure not to book for August. Stevenson is away on holiday for nearly the entire month, 2 to 28 August 2004 inclusive. Apparently, the break was part of Stevenson’s contract for Trevor Nunn’s production all along, but it must have come as a surprise to some nonetheless since, as yet, there’s been no confirmation as to who will be filling in in her absence. Opened on 2 July, We Happy Few is currently booking at the West End’s Gielgud Theatre up to 13 November. Related Content |
