But Triumph Finished with Millie Closure???

Another, albeit less public, casualty of Thoroughly Modern Millie is Triumph Entertainment, the partnership, formed by West End veteran producers Paul Elliott and Duncan Weldon, behind the musical�s West End run. According to this week�s edition of The Stage, although the pair may continue to co-produce as and when, they are formally disbanding Triumph and scaling down operations from July. Weldon told The Stage that they were closing Millie to �stem the loss of blood� though a �massive tour� is planned for next year. On their waning enthusiasm in general, Weldon said: �We are tired. We are depressed with the state of the West End. It has its problems. It is terribly expensive to produce shows.�
