Footloose Fancies a London Transfer???

Footloose - the Broadway musical based on 1984 teen flick about a city boy who shakes up an American small town where rock music has been banned is expected in the West End before the end of the year. The stage adaptation - with a book by Walter Bobby and Dean Pitchford, who wrote the original screenplay - had its Broadway premiere in October 1998, running for nearly two years. The UK premiere production, directed by Paul Kerryson, has been touring since February 2004 (See News, 4 Jul 2003). Its presented by a team of West End producers - Mark Goucher, Michael Rose, Tristan Baker and Gary Gunas for Clear Channel Entertainment who between them, have had West End musical successes with the likes Fame, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang and Calamity Jane
