Countdown to Kevin at the Old Vic???!Date: 13 April 2004 As previously tipped (See The Goss, 15 Mar 2004), Hollywood star turned Old Vic artistic director Kevin Spacey aims to announce plans for his inaugural 2004/2005 season at the London landmark theatre this month. And, now that we have the invitation to the relevant press conference in our hot little hands here at Whatsonstage.com, we can reveal to you that all will indeed be revealed at 11.00am on Thursday 22 April 2004. Will The Philadelphia Story figure (See The Goss, 15 Mar 2004)? And which, if any, of Shakespeare’s canon? What will Spacey direct? What will he appear in? And who will he cast from his constellation of starry Hollywood mates? At last year’s press conference announcing his appointment and the formation of the new Old Vic Theatre company, Spacey promised an "innovative" programme that will include new plays as well as revivals and "Shakespeare on a regular basis" (See News, 5 Feb 2003). Let the countdown begin!
