Izzard & Hamilton Marry Again for Macbeth???Date: 23 January 2004 Comedian-turned actor Eddie Izzard and Whatsonstage.com Award winner Victoria Hamilton are clearly keen co-stars. After their success with the revival of Peter Nichols’ A Day in the Death of Joe Egg, which transferred to Broadway (where it was Tony-nominated) last year after originally being seen in the West End, they plan to reunite onstage – and remarry. They plan to play an even more famous husband and wife team in 2006 in a new Broadway production of Macbeth. No producer or director is attached yet, but let's hope it's more successful than either of the last two Broadway Macbeths. In summer 2000, Frasier’s Kelsey Grammer starred in a production that expired after just 13 performances (though it was scheduled for 60, under the direction of ex-RSC artistic director Terry Hands), while an earlier 1988 production, starring Christopher Plummer and Glenda Jackson, managed 77 performances.
