New York Notes Donmar Return???Date: 29 December 2003 Following its success at the Arts Theatre in November, we hear that Notes from New York, the West End's launch platform for contemporary US musical theatre, is set to return in March. Featuring the work of the Tony Award-winning Jason Robert Brown and the Grammy-nominated Andrew Lippa, the November concert evening starred Shona Lindsay, Paul Spicer, Julie Atherton and Damien Edwards. Casting for March has yet to be announced, but Whatsonstage.com award-winner Craig Purnell (The Secret Garden, Songs for a New World) is tipped to take part. The comeback Notes is strongly rumoured to be heading for the Donmar Warehouse (whose own annual Divas at the Donmar cabaret fixture ended last year), with two brand new composers, one of whom is expected to be William Finn, the man behind shows such as Falsettos and A New Brain.
