Director Blake Edwards is reportedly working on a Broadway musical based on his series of Pink Panther films from the 1960s and 70s. In the MGM crime comedy classics, the late Peter Sellers immortalised the hapless Inspector Clouseau who always - eventually - manages to catch the jewel thief hiding right under his nose. Edwards has been working with Leslie Bricusse (Doctor Doolittle, Scrooge) creating the show's book as well as more than a dozen new songs. They have also written lyrics to accompany the famous "Pink Panther" theme tune, written by Henry Mancini.
