Quinn & Redgrave Exonerated in West End???Date: 19 August 2003 Hollywood screen star Aidan Quinn has hinted he may be about to make his West End debut. Speaking in Edinburgh whilst promoting his new film, Song For Raggy Boy, he revealed that he hopes to star in The Exonerated and is hoping to persuade British stage veteran Vanessa Redgrave, who won this year's Best Actress Tony Award for Long Day's Journey into Night in New York (See News, 9 Jun 2003), to join him. The Exonerated was written in 2001 by husband-and-wife team Jessica Blank and Erik Jensen, based on interviews with 40 former death row prisoners. It was then performed in April 2002 by the Actors Gang in Los Angeles, whose artistic director is none other than the outspoken Tim Robbins. Quinn, best known internationally for films such as Michael Collins, Legends of the Fall and Desperately Seeking Susan, says the aim is to stage The Exonerated in the West End as soon as October or November 2003.
