Lloyd Webber Bares His Walls for Art???Date: 22 May 2003 Ever wonder what Andrew Lloyd Webber gets up to outside a theatre? The composer-producer-theatre owner has spent a substantial amount of his time and fortune (estimated at around £450 million) building up a fine art collection that is the envy of collectors and galleries. Now the public will have a chance to see it for themselves. For the first time, Lloyd Webber is loaning some 200 works - including paintings by Picasso, Gainsborough, Canaletto, Millais and Rosetti - to the Royal Academy for its autumn exhibition. The paintings normally adorn the walls of Lloyd Webber's homes in London and Sydmonton. The art lover says the exhibition will be a one-off of only a few months as he can't stand to be without them for any longer.
