Jungle Willcox Causes Calamity for Wimbledon???Date: 1 May 2003 Toyah Willcox, currently one of ten celebs trapped in the Australian jungle for Granada Television's I'm a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here, has a few disgruntled theatregoers who'd like to vote her off the reality television show. From 13 to 17 May 2003, Willcox was meant to be starring in the Wild West Calamity Jane at Wimbledon Theatre as part of the musical comedy's regional tour ahead of a West End transfer (See News, 3 Apr 2003). But her filming means the week's engagement has had to be cancelled. Willcox's I'm a Celebrity involvement has caused other headaches for the stage show's promoters, too. As part of her Granada contract, the singer and actress is being held to a strict press blackout and is unable to promote anything not related to the TV programme until late May, after the competition ends and commitments for a reunion special and tabloid and other media exclusives have been honoured. The Calamity Jane resumes on 20 May in Sheffield and then continues to Bristol and Blackpool before transferring to London's Shaftesbury Theatre from 12 June 2003. Meanwhile, down under, Willcox and dancer Wayne Sleep entertained her fellow celebs and TV viewers on last night's programme with her rendition of Sally Bowles singing the title song from Cabaret.
