How Many 'Worst Britons' Work in Theatre???Date: 4 March 2003Does Andrew Lloyd Webber qualify as one of the country's most irritating celebrities? He does according to Channel 4, which has published its suggested list of the One Hundred Worst Britons and are inviting viewers to vote for their least favourite in advance of a broadcast rip-off of the BBC's popular Greatest Briton competition. "For every politician worth their weight in gold, there's another worth their weight in hate mail," goes the Channel 4 call to action. Other celebs with theatre connections who've made it onto the long list are comedian We Will Rock You book writer Ben Elton and pop star Elton John whose musical theatre contributions include The Lion King, Aida and the upcoming stage version of Billy Elliot.
