Zeta Jones & Douglas Go Public with Private Lives???Date: 3 March 2003Surely it must be a joke. As Catherine Zeta Jones and Hollywood hubby Michael Douglas have been in the UK courts fighting for the right to keep their private lives private – or, at least, away from the prying camera lenses of Hello! – we hear reports that a savvy (or silly?) impresario has approached the uber celebrity couple to play Amanda and Elyot in a new West End production of Private Lives. Zeta Jones and Douglas have previously teamed up on screen in Traffic and have confirmed they’ll soon co-star in a new Stephen Frears film called Monkeyface. But could they really pull off Noel Coward’s classic 1930 comedy about bickering English aristos? Particularly with Howard Davies’ multi award-winning 2001 revival starring Alan Rickman and Lindsay Duncan still so fresh in the memory? Related Content |
