Dench Trills for Trevor at the Albert Hall???Date: 12 February 2003 Judi Dench may be doing more than just hosting this year's Night of 1000 Voices, in honour of director Trevor Nunn, at the Royal Albert Hall (See News, 4 Feb 2003). Rumour is the great Dame herself may be warming up her throat and harmonising with myriad musical stars like Philip Quast, Lauren Kennedy, Sally Ann Triplett and Alexandra Jay. Dench is, of course, best known for her many award-winning dramatic performances, but she's no stranger to musical theatre. Though a last-minute injury prevented her from featuring in the original cast of Cats, her 1995 performance in Stephen Sondheim's A Little Night Music won her an Olivier for Best Actress in a Musical. The concert - which features scenes from Nunn's many award-winning musical productions, such as Cats, Sunset Boulevard, My Fair Lady, South Pacific, Oklahoma! and Anything Goes, his swansong National musical, now at the NT Olivier - takes place on Sunday 4 May 2003.
