Daughter & Price Vie for West End Passes???Date: 20 November 2002We could be seeing a little more of two rarely performed works by DH Lawrence and Arthur Miller in the new year if current whispers come to fruition. After critically acclaimed openings on the fringe, there's transfer talk around revivals of Lawrence's The Daughter in Law and Miller's The Price. The former, directed by artistic director David Lan and starring Olivier winner Anne-Marie Duff, ran at the Young Vic for five weeks earlier this summer, while the latter - which stars Warren Mitchell and Larry Lamb and is directed Sean Holmes - continues its limited season at the Tricycle Theatre until 7 December 2002. Both intimate household dramas, the real challenge for West End success will be a question of getting the right playhouse - always a logistical nightmare. Related Content |
