Mum's the Word Expecting West End Berth???Date: 24 October 2002 Mum's the Word - the Canadian comedy about new mothers, currently in the midst of its first UK-wide tour - is expecting to give birth to a West End run. Producers ClearChannel aim to bring the show into town early in the new year, though a venue has yet to be confirmed. In Mum's the Word, six mums share with their humorous, moving and embarrassing stories about rearing their children through a series of monologues. The UK production, directed by Wayne Harrison, features a clutch of familiar TV faces: Coronation Street's Beverley Callard, Julia Watson (Dr Baz from Casualty) and Tina Malone (Mo McGee from Brookside), joined by Polly Highton, Carole Anders and Anna Healy. The comedy premiered at Canada's Vancouver Festival in 1993. It continues on tour until 9 November 2002.
