Madness Moves House into Cambridge???Date: 5 April 2002 The much-anticipated Madness musical Our House has designs on the West End's Cambridge Theatre. Suggs, lead singer of 1980s ska-pop band, confirmed at the Oliviers ceremony in February that the musical comedy was on schedule for a September opening. The timing would gel with the Cambridge's current resident, Fame, which is currently booking up to 31 August. Our House doesn't reflect the band's own story, but it will feature many of their greatest hits which include "One Step Beyond", "Michael Caine", "House of Fun" and the title song. The book, which concerns a north London lad and his travails with his girlfriend, is written by Tim Firth whose stage plays include Neville's Island, End of the Food Chain and his latest, The Safari Party, which premieres this month in Scarborough.
