Right Size Return to Bewilderness???
Date: 15 March 2002
While The Right Size, aka multi award-winning double act
Hamish McColl and
Sean Foley, will take a break from their hit homage to Morecambe and Wise
The Play What I Wrote, they aren't planning to remain idle. On 5 May 2002, that production will finish its West End run at Wyndham's Theatre on a sell-out high with plans well underway to launch an extended world tour starting on Broadway in spring 2003. In the interim, The Right Size are considering remounting one of their other shows,
Bewilderness, about two men who fall down the back of a sofa and their surreal adventures in the "terrifying upholstered underworld". The show played at the Lyric Hammersmith in May 2001 when it also starred veteran
Freddie Jones and was nominated, along with
The Play What I Wrote, for Best New Comedy in this year's
Whatsonstage.com Awards. The Morecambe and Wise show went on to win the Whatsonstage.com honour for Best Ensemble Performance as well as two Olivier Awards - for Best New Comedy and Best Supporting Actor for
Toby Jones.
