Shaw & Warner Regroup for Winterson Adaptation???Date: 7 December 2001Actress Fiona Shaw and director Deborah Warner are reportedly working on a new theatre collaboration, bringing to the stage Jeanette Winterson’s latest, cyberspace-set novel The Powerbook. All going to plan, the piece will premiere at the National next summer, though it will have to fit in with Shaw’s Harry Potter filming commitments. Shaw and Warner’s last project together was the acclaimed production of the Greek tragedy, Medea, at the West End’s Queen’s Theatre in early 2001. Shaw won the Evening Standard Best Actress award and has also been nominated for a Whatsonstage.com Award for her performance in the title role. Related Content |
