Elvis Lives...on Stage with Labute???

Not the Elvis but the other one. Mod rocker Elvis Costello is following other music sensations of yesteryear in turning his attention to the stage, but whether he's using his songwriting skills to do so is still uncertain. Nevertheless, word is that Costello and American stage and screen writer Neil LaBute are working together on a theatrical project. The two have been long-time admirer's of the other's work and hope to open their new collaboration in New York next year. LaBute's films include In the Company of Men and Nurse Betty. His most recent play, The Shape of Things, was a hit this past summer at London's Almeida Theatre and subsequently transferred to New York, starring Rachel Weisz and Paul Rudd.
