Richardson Comes Out of Retirement to Play God???Date: 10 August 2010 Pleasance founder Christopher Richardson is now officially the voice of God. Well, he is every night in Barbershopera: Apocalypse No!. Richardson agreed to record his voice for the part of God in the a cappella musical comedy, which is the third show Barbershopera have premiered at Pleasance. He instructs the four horsemen of the apocalypse to destroy the earth but sadly spends much of the show watching them blunder about, not being the least apocalyptic due to a case of mistaken identity, as while War, Pestilence and Famine are successfully summoned, a primary school teacher called Beth turns-up instead of Death. Richardson, who stepped back from the day-to-day running of the Fringe super-venue in 2005, has mastered just about every other job at Pleasance, he can now add God Duties to his CV.
