  • 42nd Street’s back – Well, the local residents in Chichester will definitely be meeting those dancing feet as 42nd Street taps its way into the Festival Theatre this summer. Revived by acclaimed director Paul Kerryson with choreography by the always inventive and much sought after Andrew Wright, the hit Broadway musical tells the story of smalltown girl Peggy Sawyer’s meteoric rise from the anonymity of the chorus line to the spotlight of a massive Broadway star.

  • Edinburgh International Festival 2010 - With what is possibly one of my favourite video picks for quite some time, the Edinburgh International Festival 2010 has produced yet another jam-packed programme featuring artists from all corners of the globe, coming together to create the 2010 ‘New Worlds’ theme. With lots more going on besides what’s seen in the trail, it’s convinced me to book my train ticket already.

  • La Cage clears up - I don’t think many people can say they were surprised, but most people would be more than happy to offer huge congratulations to the team behind the smash hit revival of La Cage Aux Folles, now a certified hit on both sides of the Atlantic after a triumphant night at the Tony Awards. To see why Douglas Hodge continues to wow the crowds have a look at one of my favourite moments from the Awards ceremony.

  • Royal Court throws the first Punch – The latest offering from the Royal Court is Sucker Punch. Written by Roy Williams, the play looks back on what it was like to be young and Black in the 80s and asks if the right battles have been fought, let alone won. Another recent success for Williams was Category B, part of the Not Black and White season at the Tricycle. Has he got another knock out on his hands?
