The best of Britain’s young talent will take to the stage at the Arts Theatre where you’ll be transported into a world of fairytale where all isn’t quite what it seems and family ties are tested to their limits. Yes, I know, it will come as a shock to everyone but unfortunately Elphaba needs more than a broomstick and a few mystical words to levitate during the hit number Defying Gravity from the musical Wicked. In this clip from CBS, we see Stephanie J. Block, the original touring Elphaba explain how she’s lifted into the air each night. Interesting in its own right, it comes complete with some brilliantly witty play on words, which are sure to bring a wry smirk to any musical theatre fan.
