Please Retain For Your Records is the Sketch Department’s (Mel Hudson, Kate O’Sullivan and Alex Baldacci) latest sketch show, which had the audience leaving in deathly silence.

While the acting and timing is mostly on the mark, the material is way off. A series of obvious targets such as banks, American religion and self-check out stands at the supermarket make for an evening of very mild satire – less laugh out loud than smirk out loud. And the repetitiveness of the sketches only makes things seem longer.

And just when you think it couldn’t get worse, there’s some off-key singing. Back to the drawing board for this troupe.
