Devil in the Deck

Paul Nathan performs a wonderful fusion of card tricks, storytelling, showmanship and comedy in Devil In The Deck. Interweaving stories of con man Jack Swindle with brilliant slight of hand tricks, this is professional, intimate and unashamedly entertaining.

Nathan is a clearly talented magician, but he’s also a powerful storyteller. Working with him is John Anaya who accompanies throughout on his guitar, punctuating the stories and tricks. Anaya also feeds Nathan comedic opportunities and as a double act they create some of the funniest moments.
 

The showmanship on display is top-notch,and the finale is fittingly jaw-dropping., and to see this pair performing in an intimate space only adds to an appreciation of the technical mastery behind the tricks.
 

 
This is an excellent piece of theatre, magic and storytelling.
