Babbling Comedy 2

If four overgrown Korean babies messing about on stage doesn’t sound like your kind of thing, think again. This is an hour of pure silliness and joyful entertainment from a quartet of highly skilled performers who can juggle, beatbox and do magic tricks, but aren’t afraid to indulge in fart jokes either.

It’s an ideal show for kids, but it never leaves the adults behind – indeed, it’s hard not to feel swept along in the fast-moving slapstick antics of the foursome. Exploring a toybox left on stage, they find all kinds of miraculously inventive tricks to play with its contents, from a paint roller that becomes a helicopter to magically colour-changing juggling rings.

Relationships between the performers are a joy to behold and their facial expressions – especially those of rotund, bowl-headed Jun Woo – are hilarious. The laughs come thick and fast in a relentless barrage. There’s also some warm-hearted audience participation and clever use of live sound effects.

It might not be the most sophisticated show on the Fringe, but I doubt you’ll experience an hour of more unbridled fun.
