The actress is currently starring in the world premiere of Alan Ayckbourn’s new play at the Edinburgh International Festival

Iphigenia in Splott star Sophie Melville is currently starring in Alan Ayckbourn's The Divide, which is receiving its world premiere at the Edinburgh International Festival.

She is joined by a cast that also includes Sian Thomas, Finty Williams and Clare Burt. The piece is performed in two parts at the King's Theatre, Edinburgh throughout August, before opening at the Old Vic in January.

Directed by Annabel Bolton, The Divide is a satirical love story set 100 years in the future following a devastating plague.

The Divide runs at the King's Theatre, Edinburgh until 20 August, and at the Old Vic from 30 January to 10 February 2018.
