Jo Wharmby: Why You Should Come & See … Dick & Gina

Jo Wharmby tackles the ins and outs of sex in her new show Dick and Gina. On a mission to create world peace through sexual fulfillment, Jo is here to find out what people want and spread the word. Here’s why Jo thinks you should come and see her show.

If you’ve ever wondered what your partner’s really thinking in the sack and you want better sex, then this is the comedy for you!

On a mission to create World Peace one orgasm at a time, my first show Let’s Talk about Sex was spurred on by the fact that Sex Ed is so useless and technical. Surely we’d all be happier if we really knew what pleasure our bits could give us, right?

Well for Dick & Gina I went even further – getting men and women to be brutally honest about what they wish the other knew about sex. The results were hilarious. Definitely not for the faint-hearted, this outrageous comedy covers it all from kissing to shagging – you’re bound to learn something and all I ask is that you go out and share the fun!

I’m convinced that every rubbish lover is the fault of all the lazy buggers that were with them before you… from now on I’m asking everyone to teach their lover at least one thing in bed. Even if it’s just a flingette or one-nighter, make the effort…for the sake of your fellow man or woman!

This is the start of a global Sexual Pay it Forward game – let’s put people back in the dating pool in a better condition than when we found them.

After 10 years as a therapist I got so sick of hearing about people’s awful sex lives that I started writing a book about my own sexploits coupled with some basic Tantra. Writers block struck half way through the second draft until I realized that actually, I wanted to be on stage talking to people about sex instead.

I naively thought I could take Let’s Talk about Sex into the school system to beef up Sex Education. Unfortunately despite this being the 21st century it was deemed ‘too risqué’. I’m now determined to take Dick & Gina around the world. Yes there are sex manuals and Tantric workshops out there, but your average bloke on the street wouldn’t be caught dead at ‘airy fairy’ rubbish like that. So if I can get people in for a laugh and slip in a bit of valuable information at the same time, then I’ve done my job. My favourite reaction so far was ‘That was so good I had to booty text my boyfriend in the middle of it.’

Jo Wharmby – Dick and Gina is on at Just The Tonic @ The Store from August 4-28 (excl 15,16,22) at 23.00.
