All Tooled Up and Ready For Action

I have spent a delightful morning rootling around in a tool shed at the Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh selecting various tools to decorate the Can You Dig It? set. We have a giant hoe and a rusty pitchfork and a lovely shiny wheelbarrow. The staff were even kind enough to inflate the wheel of the wheelbarrow, which had a bit of a flat tyre.

I am going to be horrible, smug and boastful now and say that I think we have possibly the loveliest venue in the whole of Edinburgh. Not for us some dingy cellar smelling of socks and urine. We have a light and airy room with views of the Garden itself. Anyone who has not visited the Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh should definitely make time to pop along as it is absolutely beautiful and a great place to escape festival hustle and bustle plus it is FREE to get in.

Our performance space will probably be one of the greenest too as the Garden is also kindly lending us a plethora of plants. However, Rodney, our ailing chilli plant, is already causing trouble. It seems plants not nurtured on the premises are not really allowed to mix with the others for fear of contamination. We would never forgive ourselves if Rodney was responsible for infecting the whole garden with some kind of incurable blight so he may be axed from the show unless we can find a local chilli plant with an Equity card.
