This Bus Terminates Here

As the fringe carries on in full swing, 19;29 waves goodbye to its clandestination and heads back on its scout bus to the big smoke. Like all well kept secrets, when the rumour mill starts to run, it’s time to move on. But with a Total Theatre Award nomination and some of the most enthusiastic audience members at the festival, we might have reached the terminus but it’s not the end of the journey. And yes, I realise that the bus-vernacular is getting old, not to mention cheesy but this is the last blog so you’ll just have to roll with it.

The last few performances were dealt with as much panache as we could muster – Mrs Dixon’s characterisation continued to develop, I managed to avoid running into stationary objects and no guests were left behind by the bus. Well that last one’s almost true but I reckon he really enjoyed spending the night by the river. That’ll teach him for going into the maze. You can’t get more immersive than that? I see a reality TV spin-off opportunity: 19;29 sponsors “I’m an audience member get me out of here!” Watch. This. Space.

Thanks for reading. And if you came to see Threshold, Samuel sends his regards along with Persephone (the swan), George (the goat) and Henrietta (the chicken). It’s been a convoluted, mud-ridden, mystery escapade but it’s been great dragging you along for the ride. And remember Hunters, what happens in the home stays in the home – so keep schtum!

Yours finally,

Tom
