Edinburgh’s Best Zebra Wearing Lipstick???

Lipstick, a production by Irish company Roundhouse Productions playing at the Hill Street Theatre, has won the Dupliquick Zebra Award for Best Poster Design at this year’s Edinburgh Fringe. The award, which is open to all 2010 Edinburgh shows, was chosen by a panel of six judges which including representatives from Fringe venues, the Fringe Society’s media team, the award sponsors, Dupliquick and a graphic designer. As winners of the prize, Roundhouse Productions took home a £500 cash prize and a further £500 worth of free printing. The poster, which you can see below, was designed by Catherine Robertson and David Duff, with photography by Jamie Saunders. All three are emerging professionals who have worked with Roundhouse Productions on their previous shows. The shot they achieved was actually from taking a high res picture of a real smudge of Lipstick. The Four Women of the Apocalypse by Roisin Rae and Virtuous Flock from N10 Productions were chosen as runners up for the prize, they both walked away with £250 worth of free printing.
