Monica Barbaro

Monica Barbaro made her breakthrough on the big screen (after a decade of movie roles) as Joan Baez in filmmaker James Mangold’s dramatisation of the rise of Bob Dylan in A Complete Unknown (2024). Barbaro made her debut as a co-star in directors/writers Brian Follmer’s and Jasen Talise’s comedy, Bullish (2013).

Barbaro appeared in episodic roles in numerous TV series, and then joined the ensemble of Ricky D’Ambrose’s semi-autobiographical drama, The Cathedral (2021).

Barbaro was one of the female aviators in the long-awaited sequel, Top Gun: Maverick (2022). She then joined director/writer Patrick Gilles’ true-life drama, I’m Charlie Walker (2022) and Crime 101 (2025).
