WHAT IS IT ABOUT?

The increasingly successful and popular Derbyshire chorus, Tideswell Male Voice Choir, under their director of music Dennis Kay, visit the Opera House for the eighth year running, this year returning with the sell-out Military Wives Choir as their special guests. The Military Wives Choir was formed at two army bases in Devon - the Royal Marines base, Chivenor, and the Royal Citadel, Plymouth, as part of Gareth Malone's BBC TV series The Choir and achieved the coveted 2011 Christmas No. 1 spot with their hit Wherever You Are, written by Royal Wedding composer Paul Mealor. Their latest album, Stronger Together, was released November last year and is the latest step in the remarkable journey which this choir has made since its inception.
