The performers hurtle around the stage, things fall apart, atoms decay and relationships break up - below the surface is chaos, yet with enough distance anything can be beautiful. Part riot grrrl pop song, part circus spectacle, The Bekkrell Effect is an exhilarating visual feast combining the power of punk with risk and flare. Inspired by physicist Henri Becquerel's discovery of radioactivity, French company Groupe Bekkrell have created an unstable universe of perpetual movement where matter decays and bonds disintegrate. And all the time the author's voice, tender, savage, magisterial, is present.

John Mayall was, as a child, influenced by such greats as Leadbelly, Albert Ammons, Pinetop Smith, and Eddie Lang. From the age of 13 he taught himself to play and develop his own style with the aid of a neighbour's piano, borrowed guitars, and secondhand harmonicas. John met his soulmate in Eric Clapton, who had quit the Yardbirds in favour of playing the blues. This historic union culminated in the first hit album for John’s band, the Bluesbreakers, and resulted in worldwide legendary status. A succession of great musicians defined their artistic roots under John's leadership, and he became well known for discovering new talent. As sidemen left to form their own groups, others took their places. Peter Green, John McVie and Mick Fleetwood became Fleetwood Mac. This, combined with their passion for storytelling and commitment to maintaining the tradition of social commentary, has led to five star reviews, live sessions on BBC Radio 2, 3 and documentaries on Radio 4 as well as countless sell out shows and main stage festival appearances throughout the UK and abroad. 2016 sees them embark on their biggest tour to date in the UK, Australia, New Zealand and more. This multi-award winning trio are a superb live act and they are not to be missed.
Zara is uniquely engaging, deftly combining the intricacies of jazz with a deep soulfulness. An artist composing original songs, she tells her own stories and demands attention for their daring brilliance. Vocally akin to early Simone and Roberta Flack's First Take and delivered with the power and depth reminiscent of the spiritual jazz movement of 70's black America. With a vibrant stage presence and a dynamic young band, her live performances are not to be missed.
