Full cast announced for Wicked UK and Ireland tour

The tour opens in Bristol in January

Full casting has been announced for the UK and Ireland tour of Wicked which opens in Bristol in January.

Joining the previously announced Aaron Sidwell (EastEnders, American Idiot) will be Amy Ross as Elphaba and Helen Woolf as Glinda.

Ross was most recently seen playing Nicola in the West End production of Kinky Boots, Woolf joins the touring cast from the West End production of Wicked.

Also joining the cast is Steven Pinder as The Wizard and Doctor Dillamond, Kim Ismay as Madame Morrible, Emily Shaw as Nessarose and Iddon Jones as Boq.

The cast is completed by Nikki Bentley (standby Elphaba), Charli Baptie, Jason Broderick, Samantha Brown, Hannah Cadec, Grace Chapman, James Davies-Williams, Howard Ellis, Amy Goodwin, Daniel James Greenaway, Jack Harrison-Cooper, Charlie Karlsen, Nicole Lupino, Stuart MacIver, Stacey McGuire, Sara Morley, Emily Olive Boyd, Georgia Rae Briggs, Paul Saunders, James Titchener, Helen Walsh, Amy Webb, Luke Woollaston and Benjamin Yates.

A three-time winner of the WhatsOnStage Award for Best West End Show and a two-time winner of the Olivier Audience Award, Wicked previously toured from 2013 to 2015, with an international tour from 2016 visiting Singapore, Hong Kong, Manila, Shanghai and Beijing.

The 2018 tour will visit Bristol, Liverpool, Birmingham, Edinburgh, Leeds, Dublin, Sunderland, Southampton, Cardiff, and Manchester until early 2019.

Wicked is based on the novel Wicked: The Life and Times of the Wicked Witch of the West by Gregory Maguire. It has music and lyrics by multi-Grammy and Academy Award-winner Stephen Schwartz and is adapted for the stage by Winnie Holzman.
