Return to the Forbidden Planet tours the UK later this year

Rock musical Return to the Forbidden Planet is returning for a 25th anniversary UK tour, which will open at the Queen's Theatre Hornchurch in November.
Tickets for the show go onsale on Monday 7 July, and it will tour to Brighton, Birmingham, Dartford, Glasgow, Wycombe, Stoke and Oxford until 4 April 2015, with further dates to be announced.
Return to the Forbidden Planet is a 'rock spectacular' which is inspired by The Tempest and features rock 'n' roll classics including "Great Balls of Fire", "Good Vibrations" and "Born to Be Wild". It promises 'a mad scientist, a huge green-tentacled monster and a rock ‘n’ roller-skating robot' and features a cast of actor-musicians.
The original design team are returning to re-create their production, which first opened at the Cambridge Theatre in 1989, which is helmed by writer and director Bob Carlton.
Return to the Forbidden Planet is choreographed by Frederick ‘Frido’ Ruth, with musical direction by Greg Last. It is designed by Rodney Ford with lighting design by Mark Dymock and sound design by Rick Clark.
