We’re used to hearing about awards for the best actor or the most interesting new play, but one for the most welcoming theatre does sound a bit unusual. Last summer’s Camp Horror was declared the people’s favourite production and the autumn staging of A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum won the people’s favourite entertainment award. Carlton emphasises the importance of inclusivity in building and keeping an audience.
