Calendar Girls to Entertain Darlington

The global phenomenon Calendar Girls comes to Darlington Civic Theatre from Monday 16 to Saturday 21 May.

Calendar Girls has been the fastest-selling tour ever and has triumphed in the West End. As part of it’s final-ever tour, it visits Darlington with a host of well-known names, including Lesley Joseph (Birds of a Feather) as Miss October, Sue Holderness (Only Fools and Horses) as Miss February, Ruth Madoc (Hi Di Hi) as Miss March, Kathryn Rooney as Miss September, Camilla Dallerup (Strictly come Dancing) as Miss May, Helen Fraser (Bad Girls) as Miss January, Deena Payne (Emmerdale) as Miss July and Kacey Ainsworth (EastEnders) as Miss November with Camilla Dallerup’s real-life husband, Hollyoaks hunk Kevin Sacre, as the photographer.

Based on a true story about a group of women who do something extraordinary when they persuade one another to pose naked for a charity calendar in memory of one of their husbands. The women have no idea of the world-wide phenomenon that they will create. Never has the WI seemed so appealing, proving that it’s not just all jam and Jerusalem!

Tickets are priced at £14.50 to £27.50. Call the box office on 01325 486 555 or visit the website at Darlington Arts.
