Win! Tickets to See Broadsides’ Canterbury Tales

West Yorkshire Playhouse and Northern Broadsides are teaming up to offer Whatsonstage.com readers the chance to win free tickets to a new version of The Canterbury Tales.

According to Conrad Nelson, director and composer of the production: “The Canterbury Tales is a wonderful opportunity for telling a darn good yarn.” Brimming with bawdy tales of jealous lovers, an exciting host of puppets to help the pilgrims recount their anecdotes along the journey, and the Broadsides’ natural flair for storytelling, The Tales are set to bring Chaucer’s legendary verse to new theatrical heights.

Two pairs of tickets are up for grabs, for performances on 6 April and 7 April.

If you would like to win one of these pairs of tickets, just answer this question:

What religious place of interest is the pilgrims’ final destination? (Hint: see our interview below with Conrad Nelson)

Email your answer to yorkshire@whatsonstage.com

Please also include your full name, address and contact telephone number, and the date on which you would prefer to see The Canterbury Tales (6 or 7 April). The closing date for entries is midnight on Wednesday 31 March. The winners will be contacted shortly thereafter by email. Any entries after this time will not be entered into the draw.

Good Luck!

Please note: there are two pairs of tickets up for grabs, one pair for the performance of The Canterbury Tales on 6 April, and one for the performance on 7 April, only. You may only enter the competition once and each entry will be eligible to win one pair of tickets only. There are no alternative dates or shows available. The tickets are not transferable and your ticket will be available from the Box Office for collection on the date of your ticket, shortly before the performance starts. The competition does not include any refreshments before, during or after the performance. Transport and travel expenses are not included. The closing date for entries is midnight on Wednesday 31 March. Any entries after this time will not be entered into the draw.
