Good news Gwion will still be in it. I'm booked to see it 1st July, so do you know who will be playing Oliver and Dodger for that night, i'd love it if Harry was in it too. I actually saw it last Thursday and Francesco and Eric were in it, who were fantastic. I loved the show so much, i managed to get great seats in the stalls for another performance!

I haven't seen James' dates anywhere but it's possible to work out his dates using Harry & Francesco's. They are in Guineas group, James is Sovereigns, Gwion is Crowns. Crowns are on before Guineas, Sovereigns after. So. Guineas are on Wednesday 3rd and Thursday 4th of June which means it should be Sovereigns (James) on Friday 5th, Saturday 6th, Monday 8th and Tuesday 9th. Guineas are on weekend of 12th - 16th so Sovereigns are on Wednesday 17th and Thursday 18th. Guineas are on 24th and 25th so Sovereigns follow on Friday 26th, Saturday 27th, Monday 29th and Tuesday 30th. I only have the Guineas schedule but think these dates should be right. If you want to check for sure the lovely parents on Not A Pushy Mum (Google it) are very obliging. Good luck!

hi guys, this may cme as a shock to some of you. But both Harry and Gwion's final nights forward. Harry will not be finnishing on the 25th. If your hoping to go on their final nights you may have to rethink it.

They decided that there was little point in our new Fagin doing one show with the current kids and then getting some brand new kids in.

Harry will be finnishing about a week earlier. If you find Gwion's schedule look for the lastest performance before the 18th July.

Was at Oliver last Wednesday and they hadn't changed the board from Tuesday night. Noticed Callum Henderson was on as Dodger. Wonder if Robert was sick or whether Callum has been introduced to the mix early, he's due to take over from Eric Dibb Fuller at the end of July. Lovely lady in the box office said they're mixing things up at the moment.

In my first post i claimed harry would be finishing on the 25th July.
In later ones the 16th July.

But now news has reached me he will be finishing on 13 June. Yes this Saturday!!!!!!!!!

I promise this is 1000% true. He was actually supposed to finnsihed on the 16th after deciding that there was no point in Omjid doing one show with one bunch of kids only to bring in new kids later. He will now be finnishing on Saturday!

So can I ask how this will affect who will be playing Oliver and Dodger on the 15th June?

Omg! Just heard to knews about Harry leaving the show BEFORE his contracts finished, am i the only one who thinks this is totally unfair?! I think its so stupid how they are kicking him out because he's too tall aswell, too tall, that's not even good enough reason! First Laurence, and now Harry. Soon enough nobody will want to watch it, well i dont! I especially booked tickets for the 25th July to see Harrys last night and now they go and kick him about because he's grown over 5ft tall. It's not asthough he can't fit inside the bloody theatre! What a complete load of rubbish!

It's obviously disappointing for Harry Stott, but as I understand it his second contract was signed on the understanding that he wouldn't complete it if he grew too tall - that's why they hired a fourth "Oliver" as well. Or have I got that wrong? And besides, in this business things like height, weight, looks etc. are perfectly valid reasons that people can be turned down for roles. Fairness doesn't really have anything to do with it.

I totally agree with you. I think if anything people go because it is a good family show or because they want to see Rowan or Jodie. I'm sure Harry was aware that he might not be able to complete his run and I'm sure that he did not just grow to be that tall overnight!
Unfortunately show business is a very cut throat industry but c'est la vie!

I wanted to go and support Harry on his final night, so i bought tickets to 25th July, then i heard he was finnishing on 16th of July. So i sold the original tickets to pay for this. Now he finishes this evening and i can't make it.

Just want to second these sentiments, Ultimatetheatrefan. Harry is a very talented chap and a lovely boy, I'm sure he'll do extremely well in the future, whatever he decides to do. It's a shame that he couldn't finish the run, and finish with Eric, but think they got longer out of him than they expected and he was a wonderful, spirited Oliver.

Well YES i do think alot of people will be dissapointed at the fact he's not Oliver anymore! Well i know alot of people my age will be annoyed, not sure about the older generation, but my friends who are 16 and under all bought tickets to see Harry on alot of his performances so YES i do think alot of people will be annoyed! The show is called Oliver after all, and i'm fed up of people not taking notice of the actual main character! I don't mean to 'nag' or whatever, but i'm really annoyed at the fact i paid £60 to see Harrys lastnight, and now i'm not able too! Also, height, weight and looks are not valid reasons! I don't get show buisness at all but i've realised it's totally unfair! My friend was casted to play Charlie Bates in Oliver and and he's 5ft 2 and he was 15, now 16! The cast list says "aged 9 - 14, unbroken voices, under 5ft tall" And i'm pretty sure his voice has broken, aswell as being too tall and too old. So if they could bend the rules for him, why couldn't they let Harry finish his last 10 shows! Thats all, 10 shows! First Laurence, and now Harry. I just think it's totally pathetic. If it was because he physically couldn't perform then fine, but no, like i said before, it's not asthough he can't fit inside the theatre! First they get rid of the best singer, and now the best actor, what will they do next?! In my opinion they should totally change the name of the show and call it "Rowan Atkinson!" Oh wait... he's leaving soon isn't he? Maybe not....

That's true and you may well have done, but it doesn't change the fact that the majority of the audience won't be there because of who's playing Oliver. In fact most of the audience wouldn't even know who was playing Oliver beforehand. I wasn't saying that Harry Stott shouldn't have had to leave the show, I was just taking issue with Shelleyx's claim that "Soon enough nobody will want to watch it", which struck me as very unlikely. "Also, height, weight and looks are not valid reasons!" is also entirely inaccurate, but I'm not sure there's any point in arguing that point.

I was just wondering if anybody knows who will be playing oliver and dodger next tuesday the 23rd of june. I'm flying in just to see it as my birthday present and can t wait!!!

Now Harrys left, does anybody know who's playing on the 25th July? I'm guessing Francesco seeing as he was previously sharing his group with Harry. I have his performance schedule aswell, well Harrys old one anyway so im not sure if its much use now, but seeing as it's the Guineas, and Francesco is in the Guineas, then Francesco should be doing them nights, right? Well anyway, if you want me to post it i will, don't mind! I'm still upset with the theatre though but i have gotten over the fact i'm not seeing Harry as Oliver (which people do care about seeing as this thread is called 'which Oliver is playing on which day?' which proves the point that people do care about which Oliver they are getting), i'm just looking forward to seeing Billy Elliot the night before more now!

Saw the show on Tuesday evening and it was absolutely amazing! It was Gwion and Robert, Iss1234, so thanks for your help on that - they were both amazing. I am so glad it was Gwion I saw.

Actually the only reason i started this thread was because people on the oliver the musical thread were tryig to talk about the show and it just kept getting bombarded with requests so much so that it wasnt about the show as much it was about the cast.

Which does still prove people are interested , although a lot less interested now that Harry and Laurence have left...
