I can't wait til they announce the cast on 22 April. I reckon Sheridan Smith's a fairly safe bet.

True.... BUT it will give the producers alot of time to market it and hopefully create a good buzz. I think it will be mostly group sales that fill it up so they have to get in there. The Savoy seems like a good theatre. Quite a good size that Blonde shouldn't find overly hard to fill!

Duncan James as Warner...stunt casting that will make sure they fill it!

I actually think he'll make a decent Warner, even if it is stunt casting... I'm nervous about Sheridan!Elle because noone has ever quite lived up to LBB for me yet. I'm interested about the Emmett and Paulette casting aswell..

My friend went to the recording of a TV show that Sheridan was filming and she at the end the cast come and talk to some of their fans and they asked her about it and she confirmed it to them. I havn't really seen her in anything except that Jonathan Creek thing at Christmas so I have no opinions!

I can't see what the fuss is about Duncan James. He's well groomed rather than actually good looking and his singing voice is really bland, as is his persona, come to think of it. Besides, is anyone really that interested in him? If this is stunt casting, the stunt has already gone wrong. I know I'd rather see a brilliant performer that just a pretty rubbish celebrity.

Actually, there hasn't been an official announcement, has there? I hadn't thought of that. I know it's true because I got sent the production notification from AKA at 5pm yesterday, and it's already taking group bookings. Principal casting has been decided but they're not announcing anything until 22 April.

An obvious question perhaps but where does one make a group booking?

Any news when casting's will be for the rest of the cast?

mmm i'm going to wait and get excited when there is offical accouncement because someone saying so on here doesnt make it offical... you only have to look at the other legally blonde disscusion to see that people said it was coming late 2008/early 2009?? and if they taking group bookings today where?? theres nothing on the theatre's website about group bookings or on ticketmaster or see tickets??

At the moment, you have to email groups@theambassadors.com. Groups should be more widely available from agencies from Monday or maybe even tomorrow.

"Groups of 6+ would be £39.50 and groups of 12+ would be £29.50.
This is for best available seats Monday to Thursday if booked and paid for by 1/11/09.

There is a lot of speculation that the lead will be played by Rachel Wooding, i found out this from a friend of hers.

i can imagine rachel would be very good in the part loved her in both wwry and hairspray but i would love to see sheridan in the role i just think it would be welll suited to her acting style

As far as I'm aware, it IS Sheridan as she's been telling people.

I can't say how I know, or where the information has come from but it is definatly 100% Sheridan Smith as Elle. She's being taught the songs now and getting more vocal training before rehearsals ect.

I just hope they don't give the tickets sky-high prices like Priscilla!

pippa will only cast from agents she knows surely, not from unknowns

I believe Pippa will cast whoever she thinks is right for the job regardless of agents!

It's not Rachael sadly, she did audition but she didn't get it.
Heard from quite a few people that Sheridan has told them she's got the part of Elle, as much as I assume she's telling the truth, I'd find it hilarious if she'd been giving people false leads for a laugh
