As far as I know there are not any advertised stars for this production, It is not a star carrying show, we all know who the leads are from having a heavy interest in Musical Theatre. As a producer this is a clever idea, you're coming close to your 1st year of the show finishing, get them on as many TV shows as possible that will attract the 'right' demographic and hopefully you will regenerate enough interest in the show to keep it going for a few more months.
The producers are under no obligation with Jersey Boys to have on stage any performer on any night as they do not out and out bill the show saying staring 'Ryan Malloy' & Glen Carter, if that was the case then maybe there is a small argument but this has been discussed in detail on the site many times.
If by advertising you are talking about images portraying them as the Jersey Boys, then if you were to take that as a form of advertising, Id want to write and complain to virtually every Theatre company in the country who use other people in their adverts and promo material and didnt show up...hey after all i was expecting the broadway cast when i booked for Jersey Boys after all their promo material and advertising leaflets came through my door!
