Help me decide! Post why, if you like. smile.gif

I think Zorro, it's a fantastic show, but I haven't seen the others so I'm a tad biased =)
Weez
Well, what sort of thing do you usually like? I've voted for 'Six Characters...', because I love Rupert Goold. He, Ben Power, and the brilliant cast have managed to actually breathe some proper life into the play. If you think you know it, I promise you don't. But if you have low tolerance for people getting over-excited with creativity and inventiveness, then you might want to steer clear.

'Zorro' is good, campy fun, and if you like stampy dancing and sword-fighting, there isn't a better show out there. It's a marvellous way to pass an evening. Not the best thing you'll ever see, but certainly good fun.

'Fat Pig'... well... skip it. It doesn't do anything particularly novel. *shrugs*

Zorro as it's the only one I've seen but I am seeing the other 2 next week.
Backdrifter
I'm kind of with Weez on these 3 although I think Zorro might just edge Six Characters. The latter is a better, more thought-provoking piece of work, but I enjoyed Zorro more, if that makes sense. I had low expectations of it and, while yes it's a lightweight romp, it's very entertaining. Try to see both if you can.

Based on the original cast performance I saw, Fat Pig isn't in the running against those two. Flat Pig would be more apt, so slight is this play. It's about twice as long as it needs to be and goes nowhere. Seeing Kelly Brook in a 2-piece would be a big attraction, admittedly, but I can't think of much else to recommend it.

6 Characters in amazing. Although I haven't seen the other two ...

I really liked Fat Pig. Thought Kelly Brook gave a suitable enough performance, and the story was told well. I think some people might be put off by her in the role, and the reviews i've read have been a bit stiff upper lip - she wasn't as bad as it's been made out and i'd happily go and see her in another role.

6 characters is soooooo confusing but great acting.

I haven't seen Zorro, but it's a jukebox musical. You pretty much know what you get with that. If you like The Gypsy Kings, go see it. If not (or if you abhor the whole concept of a jukebox musical), you should probably see something else.

Do you like to laugh at moderately-funny fat jokes? Do you need the assurance that it's okay to laugh because the jokes are being told by a fat girl? If you answered either question, then you'll like Fat Pig. It's a 15-minute play stretched out into two acts, acted by people with some of the most appalling American accents I've heard in a long time. There are a few clever moment, but they're lost in the avalanche of laughter at fat jokes.

Six Characters is clever, well-acted and brilliantly-directed. It's worth seeing.

Definitely Zorro. I have seen them all. I had to laugh at Backdrifter's comment - Flatpig is so apt! Six Characters is thought provoking and well acted, but for sheer entertainment it has to be Zorro, which really cannot be called a jukebox musical. The Gypsykings music is very much a part of the show - no "shoehorning" in of known songs but a beautiful use of tunes to aid in the retelling of a story. And the performers are all excellent in what they do. I defy anyone to leave without a smile: the energy is just so contagious.

I've now seen them all and Zorro would be my choice, the other two are not bad but just lack that certain something.

Haven't seen the other two, but I could heartily recommend Zorro. Didn't really know what to expect the first time I went to see it, but I enjoyed it enormously! The cast is brilliant and it's just a fun and lively musical. Have seen it again since, and am looking forward to the next time! biggrin.gif
