Does anyone have suggestions on where to obtain difficult-to-find theatre posters, particularly for short-run productions? (Other than eBay.)

Any advice appreciated; thanks in advance.

Ive had loads of luck by contactin the actual press and marketing depts of various theatres, I did get them for a school but maybe send a nice email or give them a ring!

I've managed to get posters that weren't on sale to the public by talking to the theatre management on the evening the show closes. The posters would only end up in the bin, so few places mind taking one down and giving it away.

I would suggest contacting the theatre direct. I work for a small cinema/theatre and we keep all the cinema posters and sell them for £2.50 each (unless we like the look of you and then you might get it for nothing! wink.gif )

Thanks, all, for the advice. I took Matthew Winn's this evening and approached theatre management at Betwixt!, managed to score a poster. Yay!

When I went to see the current 50th Anniversary WSS tour at the Lowry they had posters on sale for a £1 each, I think all theatres should do this!
