Just read Lynette's comment re Six Authors about it "Not one for Granny's afternoon outing."
Well this little affair definitely's not one for your Mother - as for Grannies...well I was seated next an OAP who told me she'd come to see it as she'd enjoyed the book. She was a bit shell shocked at HT - but the better 2nd Act restored her to an acceptable state by the end!
It's all in the staging n script with this one...worth seeing solely for the puppet show and the opening of the 2nd Act IMO. The actress playing Grushenka wasn't convincing as a seductress vamp and the 2 younger brothers got saddled with the longest 'preachy' speeches (it is Russian Lit after all) and the father is a little OTT on occasion but I'm glad I saw it - 3/5.
