There is something special about Saturday evenings. I've been going to the theatre for over thirty years now, and I still get that buzz of excitement on approaching the entrance. Sunday just wouldn't be the same. The domino effect caused by The National Theatre was inevitable, but no, not for me. Would you go? Have you been to a Sunday performance at The National?

I would absolutely go to a Sunday matinee! In fact I do whenever I go see shows in Germany. I don't suspect there will be a huge market for Sunday evenings - who wants to be out late before Monday morning? But Sunday afternoon shows are brilliant, great for families, for tourists who've come to town on a weekend city break, great for people working 9-5 all week who might find weeknight shows harder to get to.

Yes I do think it's a great idea to have Sunday performances, especially matinees. Whenever I have a weekend in London I can only see one play on the Saterday evening which really isn't enough. The thought of having a long lazy breakfast, a spot of shopping and then going to the theatre is very appealing to me and I guess many people from outside the capital.

Yes I've booked for a couple of the Donmar Sunday afternoons and am looking forward to them
