Saw this last night at the Arcola (lovely studio theatre in Dalston). The play is classic Tennessee Williams and a rare treat for fans of his. Should be just as popular as his other plays. Particularly liked Sian Thomas as Leona.

I'm going to Dalston? Haven't been to Arcola before but booked this cos it looked very interesting with one or two of the old Cottesloe team.

The theatre's only a 10 minute bus ride from Liverpool Street station or just across the road from Dalston Kingsland overground station. It's not too difficult to find. (this topic should probably be in the 'Of West End' section come to think of it but does anyone read that?)

Ok I managed to get there ok - lovely theatre, organic drinks. Play not one of TW's best but worth it for the last ten minutes. Acting and directing team [ think back to the Cottesloe of the 70s] superb - who can act parts like this guy, the barman with angina, better than Jack Shepherd? A masterclass. So don't know how long it is on for but I recommend. Interesting that for £15 you get as good as the West End in quality and performance. With many of the WE theatres half full at the moment , the Arcola et al look like being the guardians of good theatre for the time being.
