E.P's doing a platform talk at the National on 23 September to launch her new biography Memories. If it's anything like her radio show it should be a camp laugh! Has she ever actually appeared at the National in anything?

Info on the platform

Apparently not. Unless her theatrical CV is SO VAST that they completely excised the National from her bio in the 'Drowsy Chaperone' programme, and it's a pretty complete-looking bio.

The book launch at the NT was wonderful and I enjoyed evey minute of it very much. At first EP had been interviewed by Mark Shenton for approx. 40 minutes and then the audience could ask questions.

After that Elaine signed copies of her book and posed for photos on her own and together with her fans in the foyer. She was in a very good mood and looked absolutely gorgeous.

Behind the table she was sitting at was a reception going on with many famous people which EP had met during her 40 years in show bizz.

I´m very glad I went .....
