Eponine in Les Miserables...

Hmm yes I remember being very impressed by Nancy on I'd Do Anything and being suprised when she didn't get further in the competition, she seemed very suitable for the role and was obviously a strong singer and actress (professionally trained). I now realise that she was already being lined up for Eponine (excellent part).

Well I was hoping to see Les Mis again as so i might have to make a trip to see it soon. I am also interested to see what Leanne (from HDYSAPLM) is like as Cosette.

Fantastic! I remember Nancy very well and was very confused that she didn't at least get through to the live shows for Nancy. Thank goodness she was snapped up for something so much better. I am going to see Les Miz on 28th November, should be fantastic!

Went to see Les Miz in the summer, sorry to say I think I have missed something. I just did not get this amazing buzz that I thought I would

I thought she was incredible too, although she looked like a cross between a contestant off Shipwrecked and a Bedales kid who wandered onstage after a busy day spending Daddy's money in Covent Garden.

I saw Les Mis a couple of weeks ago. The cast was much better (bar a couple of members) than the previous time I was in the audience. Nancy Sullivan was amazing. She gave a really moving performance.

I agree Nancy is great as Eponine, she has a really good voice and her performance just feels right to me - love her 'Little Fall of Rain', very emotional

Nancy was amazing on Elaine Paige today. I haven't seen her as Eponine but 'On My Own' is one of my favourite MT songs and I thought she sang it beautifully. Does anyone know when she is leaving Les Mis? I would like to try and see it before she goes.

I thought she was terrible. She was awful on the Never Forget tour and she sounded awful IMO today. Sounded like she was really screeching and straining her top notes.

I don't understand, I thought she sounded fantastic on EP. I have just listened to it again and to be honest I think she sounds the best of the 3 of them. I was disappointed by Jon and Earl. They sounded good but Nancy sounded way out in front, as good as she does on the stage.

Nancy was indeed wonderful. Jon and Earl however didn't give their all, both lacked that extra spark I felt. They're definitely miles better while performing in the show. I might have liked their performances better on EP if I hadn't seen them live previously though

That's a very valid point. I loved both of their performances live (have seen the show twice and been blown away both times!) so had high expectations, maybe too high? Having said that, in my opinion Nancy has that little something extra that other members of the cast don't have. She will be around for a very long time.

I think she's brilliant. She gives her all into every performance and is 100% in the moment. She's a very good actress, though her voice maybe isn't the strongest ever she can definitely hold a tune. She's so endearing as Eponine and has great stage presence, she had me in tears whenever she was on stage!!

While her voical performance is strong but maybe not perfect, I personally think its the emotion she puts in her performance that really makes her stand out! Her and Jon Robyns have great chemistry, too! Made Marius looks crazy to be going for Cosette instead!

Did Nancy just sing on the BBC2 show or was there an interview?

The was a small interview where she spoke about Never Forget and Les Mis smile.gif

Saw the show again last night and she was her usual brilliant self. Broke my heart a little bit, and definitely made me cry!! I was sitting front row too, bad times!! She has amazing stage presence, I can't quite explain what it is. But yeah, love her. She was sweet at stage door too. (I'd post my photo but I look hideious!)

This interview's from a few weeks ago. happy.gif http://www.broadwayworld.com/article/BWW_I...llivan_20090429

I saw her in Les Mis on Saturday and have to say she was the highlight of the show. I was completly blown away by her.
My only critisism is that her death didn't really look very realistic, however I understand that its hard to 'fake die' on stage and make it look realsitic (Alhough Fantine managed very well, I was impressed by that).

Nancy's voice is beautiful. I'd definatly go back to see her.
