Does anyone know how long Patti Lupone is due to play in Gyspy on Brodway?

According to a cast member at the stage door all the cast have signed on for a year which would mean she will be there well into the new year.

So long as she stays on Broadway and doesn't come to London I don't care. Gypsy was the major disappointment of our recent trip - a really dated show and LuPone chewing the scenery like nobody else I've ever seen. The New York audience loved her but I just can't see why.

LiPone will play until March 1, Gypsy will probably then close. I cannot believe what David just posted above me....saw Gypsy last Thursday and it was the absolute HIGHLIGHT of my trip (which included 13, South Pacific, Avenue Q, August Osage County). Brilliant execution of a brilliant show. LuPone is amazing in this role: I wanted to kiss her tiny little feet.....
